Maggie Allely

Maggie was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Colorado State University in 1994 and her law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1998. After graduating from law school, Maggie went to work for the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office, Water and Natural Resources Division. While at the Attorney General’s Office, she represented the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, Water Quality Division on a wide variety of environmental issues affecting both surface and ground water. Her work encompassed all legal issues confronted by the Water Quality Division, including underground storage tank remediation, confined swine feeding operations, and NPDES permits ranging from storm water runoff to coal bed methane. Maggie also provided legal counsel on related matters such as promulgation of rules and regulations, contracts, settlements and defense of government employees. In addition, she provided counsel to the Governor’s Subcommittee on Natural Resources on federal matters including threatened and endangered species and the roadless rule. Maggie left the Attorney General’s Office in 2003 in order to start a family with her husband Walter. She joined Hageman & Brighton, P.C. in October 2007 to focus on administrative law, including water, air and land quality, solid and hazardous waste, and governmental regulations.
